I initially posted this video on Facebook (doesn’t look like I can point to my status and it’s comments from here?), and received some comments to which I needed to reply in some detail. However, Facebook restricts the amount I can type in a comment box, so reproducing it here.
See post comments. FYI it’s a demonstration by my grandmaster, founder of BKC.
Back when I was a toddler (well not quite that young), a few influential people influenced me (coz that’s what influential people do…) and made me stick to practicing Karate. Hoosain Narker, a master of the Ashihara style was one of these people. He has written a wonderful travelogue, full of fascinating tales, and more importantly life tenets that he’s learnt and lived through his several decades of of training. I highly recommend his book, for martial artists and non-martial artists alike.

A short excellent interview with the (late) founder of Aikido. Very funny, very humble character. This clip always cheers me up. Interesting that most advanced souls lose no humility despite their amazing abilities.

Just watched this movie a while ago, very funny stuff. It’s a fairly classic kungfu movie featuring Jet Li as Wong Fei Hung. I shall say no more except that it was highly entertaining, I laughed throughout most of the movie. Of course, I crack up pretty easily – but I’m sure it was actually funny :P.
Ah well, bed time, flying out tomorrow (well day after, late tomorrow, early morning day after), whee!
